Beautiful places are almost alive! When you visit here, you can feel your breaths!
Did you know that Sorsogon has been coddling beautiful beaches🌊 and also beautiful tourist spots tucked in a small coastal town called Sta. Magdalena? Yes, beach lovers, they've been keeping this lil secret all this time and OMG😮, not just 1, but 2, 3, 4 and as many as you count.
And the best part is - some of it's gorgeous and surprisingly untouched beachlines are free to the public💙
DISCOVER STA. MAGDALENA!💜
Santa Magdalena is the smallest town in Sorsogon both in size and population. It is bounded by Bulusan, Matnog, and Irosin. In the past, it was called "Busaingan" or "water breakers", a name that implies what adventures await you in this lovely town.
I have to admit that I ever heard of it before. I know the pink sand beaches in Matnog, the surfing in Gubat, the hotspring in Irosin, the volcano in Bulusan and the whalesharks in Donsol. But Santa Magdalena (enter crickets chirping).💙
I only knew about during my road trip around Bicol. When I got to this place, I met a handsome local who happens to be a staunch promoter of the provinces emerging tourism destinations. He gave me an insider tip to check out Sta. Magdalena's beaches and tourist spots.I was shock at first because it was quite out of the way. Imagine how many kilometer winding drive inward to reach a small coastal town when I could just drive straight to a more popular spot like others.💙
But who can say no to another beach day invitation? So I did and never regretted going in a detour because I found a new place of what could potentially be the next best beach destination in Sorsogon. 💙
Drink your water Beach, Please!
Olango Beach or Marahlee Beach Resort is located at Brgy San Rafael Sta. Magdalena, Sorsogon. Noted for its fine white sands, its irregular coastline facing the Pacific Ocean stretches almost 1 kilometers. This beach resort
is for beach lover, nature lovers and ideal place for swimming as well as exploring its rich and exotic marine life.💙

Not all coastal towns are like Santa Magdalena where swimmable beaches are all around. Let's just say, it's beach overload.
Here you can step out from the plaza or the church and run to the sea. If you fancy sipping coconut juice while your toes flirt with the murmuring waves, this place is gonna whip it all up for us.💙
Based on my experience there, the entrance fee is only Php 10.00 per head for kids and adults
There are cottages and mini rental houses that could be rent in Php 300-500 overnight. But you can bring your tent, if you want. If you have your own vehicle it is actually easily for you to visit here. There are also have a karaoke rent and sari-sari store for you to sing and buy what you need and what you want.💙
Believe me or not Olango Beach has a finest white sand and crystal water,
that you can see on the left side of the picture.
LIANG BEACH⛳
Liang which means a small cave is located in Baragay Penafrancia in
Santa Magdalena, Sorsogon. It is a small cove that has beautiful
rock formations and some of it mimics a small cave.
The water is clear with fine black sands that shines
at daylight like tiny stars that sparkle.💙
It usually locals just hang out and ply cards or drink and enjoy the sense
of exclusivity of the place. Plus the fact that this place has been known
to be enchanted, it's adds up to the adventure.
PAKOL HILL⛳
This a new discovered place here in our town Santa Magdalena, based on my experience here,
the entrance fee here is only Php 10.00 per head. What are you waiting for!
Come and enjoy the beauty of nature here in Pakol Hill.
This is the place to go back and forth and also look for. This is what you called "Little Tagaytay". The first time I went here, I was surprised because I said at first it was far way and my vehicle couldn't handle it. Then I wondered if it would continue or not. After, we went to Pakol Hill, while we are walking I was very tired because it was still far away and when we went there, I was told I was amazed. As I see the surroundings my stress and my tired will disappear and also you need here an beauty of nature then fresh air and also picture taking and relaxing.
You could also bring here your friends, family, jowable if you have and others.
SUHOTON CAVE⛳
This cave is lined by powdery white sand shoreline all for your indulgence. On the other side, is Alig-Igan Beach, FMB resort where cream sand oceanfront fun and rock wall adventures await.
Looking at it from the tip of town, it looked like all tropical gorgeousness all coming at you at once. Azure sky, turquoise water, and pockets of beach line punctuated by lush greens.
Suhoton Cave is surely gonna a perfect place to go with my friends, my family etc. This is a great place to have fun, relax and enjoy the moment with your relatives. This pandemic I'm sure it's gonna more changes and upgrade in this place.
There are quiet a lot of locally-owned resorts here too. And by resorts here too. And by resorts I mean affordable, modest and quiet beachfront like Marahlee, FMB Beach, Pakol Hill.
If you like the short trek + tidal pool + back flips from a rock adventure combo, take Liang Beach. And the there's Talaongan and many other beachy goodness!💙
How come no one's talking about it!
This place is surely gonna win in my💚 heart of those longing for a certified province vibe.
The beaches of Santa Magdalena have always been there. But because it doesn't have all those fancy amenities and its location isn't as easy as its crowd-pleasing neighbors, it remained popular only to locals.
This town is so ready for the taking- pristine blue waters, velvety-soft shores, charming town, gentle people and delicious seafood. Forget about what traveling to posh beach spots is all about because all around Santa Magdalena is still pretty the same- so unhurried, so rustic, and so chill.
C'mon, let's spill the secrets of my Santa Magdalena!😍😍
Wow it's so pretty!
